Abundance. It’s a concept that resonates with the core desires of the human heart. We suffer when life’s most important things are scarce. We can even possess an abundance of physical resources, but feel an emotional, spiritual, or relational lack.
In the biblical book of John, Jesus presented himself by explaining that he had come as a caring shepherd offering life, and life in abundance. As a business owner who endeavors to follow him, my goal is to work towards his vision for abundant life in the people around me, and to provide opportunities for growth and fulfillment.
Despite our optimism around technology, our digital age has far too often been constructed in a way that diminishes, instead of enriching, the lives of the people who use what we’ve created. But it doesn’t have to be this way. Many of the inventions that we enjoy today are the result of creative minds that valued human lives and their flourishing. These inventions were meant to empower people to provide for their families, to save time to focus on the relationships in life that matter most, and to elevate the dignity of communities. Today, there is ample opportunity to improve the lives of millions in the place we spend the majority of our waking hours: the workplace.
Trailmerge was originally focused on pairing SaaS startup founders with teams of UX designers who were early in their careers, providing both sides with a powerful opportunity to advance towards their desired future. We later moved into recruiting, matching senior product designers and design leaders with startups who were further along in their maturation. In these endeavors, it’s been a true honor to come alongside visionaries, builders, and talented craftspeople with evident passion.
More recently, we have made some significant transitions in our business model. We’re now focused on providing fully-built custom software solutions (still with a strong emphasis on design) to improve processes and empower teams to succeed. We count on a talented group of experienced product managers, designers, and developers to form teams that dive deep into our clients’ pain points and build great products in close collaboration with their teams. In it all, we continue to carry the same heart. In everything we do, our desire is to be vectors of abundance to the people around us, affirming life and opening new doors of opportunity in partnership with our team, our clients, and the people who use the products we design and build.
