I’ll give credit where it’s due: This Trailmerge value is largely lifted from Jim Collins’ classic, Good to Great, and it’s worth keeping.
At Trailmerge, we highly value operating as a team. It’s not just because we can get more done or because it’s a nice thing to say to make our company look good to the outside world. At the core of it, people really matter. And, to be real, who wants to spend most of their day in a lifeless silo or an environment marked by toxic competition and strife?
When we win, we win together. We celebrate each other’s accomplishments. And though I may be the founder of Trailmerge and the one whose name is most often attached with the company, I can’t take the credit for what this company is able to accomplish. That credit belongs to God first, and to our amazing team members who do great work with incredible passion, care, collaborative mindsets, and diligence.
At the same time, we have a transparent culture marked by individual ownership of our areas. Our team works well because we each take ownership over our own responsibilities, acknowledge when we’ve made mistakes, and take initiative to communicate and support each other and our client partners however we can.
At Trailmerge, this isn’t just an ideal, but it informs how we hire our internal and client-facing team members and how we collaborate with our clients and their users as we design and develop world-class custom software for their success.
